Bernard left this world on April 6, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Bernard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Fafel and Samuel Fafel; and his brother Leonard. He is survived by: his close friend Eleanor O'Keefe; his children, David Fafel (Julie), Steven Fafel (Vicki) and Kelly Wilkins; and his sister Arlene. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (234 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190).
