He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Hester of North Carolina and Mary Bell Hester (Lawrence) of North Carolina; his sister Jacqueline Hester; his sons, Eric T. Hester of Hyde Park and Dexter Hester of Dedham; his siblings, Charles Hester, Evon Bennett and Bruce Hester; and his goddaughter Regina Joyner. He was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
