She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio M. Miguel; her parents, Manuel Grota and Ines "Agnes" Ferreira (Pereira); her stepfather Antonio Ferreira; and her brother Jorge Grota.
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty M. DeFrias (Stephen Cabral) of New Bedford, Janice M. Vieira (Americo) of New Bedford, Lucy A. Pinto (Daniel) and Freetown; her sister Teresa Stone of Washington; her sister-in-law Cremilde Grota of So; her grandchildren, Amanda Paul, Meagan Marshall, Alexa Hynes and Matthew DeFrias; and her great grandchildren, Emma Paul, Dylan Paul and Colin Hynes. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren.
