He was predeceased by: his parents, Caesar Benetti and Marie Benetti; his former wife Priscilla Pat Benetti; and his siblings, George Benetti and Margaret St.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Benetti (Lyons) of Dartmouth, MA; his children, Susan Benetti Oldrid (Kevin), Joseph Benetti Jr. (Candy), Karen Benetti and Thomas Benetti; his grandchildren, Samantha Oldrid, Cameron Griffin, Nicollette Lynch and Nathaniel Melo; his siblings, Carole Benetti and Robert Fitta; and his nephew Steve Benetti. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
