He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Pereira and Conceicao Pereira (Linhares); and his sibling Ema P. Melo. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Periera (George Smith) and Sheena Carrier (Eric); his grandsons, Benjamin Smith and Jackson Carrier; and his siblings, Zelia Oliveira, Edward Pereira, Luis Pereira, Joseph Pereira, Fernanda Gouveia and Arthur Pereira. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
