He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Silva and Maria Silva (Almeida); and his sibling Antone Silva. He is survived by: his children, John Turner (Lisa) of Oakley, CA and Doreen Laughlin (Richard) of Providence, RI; his former wife Mary Silva (Souza); his grandchildren, Richard J. Laughlin, Preston Laughlin, Shawn Threat, Felicia Turner, Monet Angel and Kevin Rose; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Daeshaun, Malik, Vinyah, Nevaeh, Anthony, Maria, Nyla, Jaxson and Ezekiel; and his siblings, Theophilo Silva, William, Silva Frank Silva Britto and Margaret Fortes.
