He is survived by: his children, Ann L. DeFrias (Nelson) of Westport, Karen M. Blanchette (Normand) of Westport and John B. Resendes, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Dartmouth; his grandsons, Adam DeFrias (Taryn), Nicholas DeFrias (Kendra), Devin Resendes and Jared Blanchette; his great grandchildren, Ellery DeFrias and Arden DeFrias; and his siblings, Germana Mota, Odelia Fonseca, Lucilia Resendes and Isaac Resendes.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744).
