He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Mendonca and Helen Mendonca (Amaral); his siblings, Beatrice, Eleanor and Joseph; and his brother-in-law Peter Gluckler (Rosemary Gluckler).
He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Mendonca (Nancy); his children, Mark George Mendonca (Lisa), Jacqueline Mendonca Cabral (Robert Keese), Katherine Y. Newport (Devan Lamontagne) and Thayer E. Newport (Scott Hughes); his grandchildren, John Mendonca, Jessica Mendonca (Devone Peirce), Drew Keese (Cassi Pagliarani), Mark Mendonca Jr. and Hannah Kaliton; and his siblings, Veronica, Theresa, Frances, Mary, Christine, Rosemary, Agnes, Ronald and David. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, friends, and neighbors.
