Fernando Xavier Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2025, at the age of 94, Fernando Xavier of Dartmouth, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugerio and Maria Adelina Xavier (Martins); and his sisters, Valentina Gomes and Maria Emilia Almeida. He is survived by: his daughter Fernanda M. Dubois (Robert) of New Bedford; his siblings, Ludgero Xavier (Mary Lou), Manuel Xavier and Adelina Silveira; his grandson Christopher Dubois; and his former wife Maria Lurdes Medeiros.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Fernando's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
