He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julia Tavares (Rezendes) of New Bedford and Julio Tavares; his sisters, Annette Mello of New Bedford and Robin LaJoy of Freetown; his nephew Jared Perry; and his brother Kenneth Tavares.
