He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. McGowan and Catherine M. McGowan (Chisholm); and his siblings, Margaret M. O'Rourke (McGowan) and Thomas F. McGowan, Jr. (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Mary (Grady); and his children, Mary Beth (Michael DiFilippo) of Bridgton, Nancy (Peter Usalis) of Danvers, Anne (Michael Landers) of Danvers, Robert (Meghan McGowan) of Marblehead, Susan (Jonathan Dirks) of Danvers and Jane (Jim Kress) of Winthrop. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
