He was predeceased by: his father Cornelius V. McGreal; his father-in-law Alfred J. Marshall; and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Marshall, Jr. (Terry), David, Carrie-Ann Marshall, Chuck and Kathy Marshall.

He is survived by: his pet Sarah Jean; his wife Michelle "Shelley" McGreal (Marshall); his son Mike McGreal, Jr. of Danvers; his mother Elena McGreal (Jodice) of Medford; his sibling Michele Harney (Christopher); his mother-in-law Rachael Marshall; and his nieces and nephews, Maxine Harney, David Marshall, Miranda Poto, Chelsea Marshall, Jacob Marshall, Timothy Marshall, Amy Barrieau, Barbara Sousa, Donald Marshall, Lori Manzo and Rachael Flanagan.
