She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Whelan and Agnes Whelan (Hartnett); and her brother James F. Whelan of Peabody. She is survived by: her children, Constance Ahern of Danvers, David Ryan of Lynn and Thomas Ryan of Lusaka, Africa. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
