With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine L. Short-Dean of Danvers, Massachusetts, born in Somerville, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Dean; her brother Richard; and her grandmothers, Lois, Rose, Betty, Francine and Debbie.

She is survived by: her children, Janet C. McHugh of South Windsor, Connecticut., Richard F. McHugh (Lisa) of Worcester, John D. McHugh (Rosanna) of Natick, Karen A. McHugh of Freemont, NH and Rich Gannon of Virginia; her brother David J. Gannon (Jean) of Beverly; and her grandchildren, John William Holik, Caitlyn Sue Holik of Houston, TX, Danielle L. McHugh of Portland, OR, Brittany E. McHugh of Peabody and Christina McHugh of Natick.
