He was predeceased by: his parent Simeon Belanger; and his brothers, Paul Belanger and David Belanger. He is survived by: his wife Janet Belanger; his son Paul Belanger of Pittsfield; his mother Theresa Belanger of Pittsfield; his siblings, Susan Danahey (Mike) of Pittsfield and Robert Belanger (Jane Durant) of Pittsfield; and his nephews, Derek, Jeremy, Seth and Scott.
