She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Reid and Eleanor Farrell Reid; and her husband Robert "Bob" Jackson. She is survived by: her sister Carol Russell of Apex, NC; her children, Erin Evans-Roy (Wayne) of Dalton and Kimberly Jackson (Ryan) of Pittsfield; her sister Cathy (Chris) of Dalton; her grandchildren, Nicholas Evans, Collin, Emilynn and Ryder Jackson; and her pet Athena. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory can be made to the Phelps Cancer Center, in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home.
