It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marguerite Nixon of Dalton, Massachusetts, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Flaro and Frances Kelley Flaro; her sisters, Marilyn Harris, Lenoir Conrow and Barbara Hould; her friend James Joseph Nixon; and her daughters, Laura Nixon Belair (Matthew) of South Portland, ME and Colleen Nixon of Pittsfield, MA..
She is survived by: her grandsons, James, Lucas Halvorson and Carson Belair. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wellington Family Funeral Home - Dalton (525 Main St, Dalton, MA 01226). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Agnes Church (489 Main St, Dalton, MA 01226).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge's memory can be made to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home.
