She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Herrick Cook and Mary Elizabeth White Cook; and her sister Patricia C. Spaniol of Stephentown. She is survived by: her husband Peter C. Giftos of Dalton; her children, Peter H. Giftos (Kimberly) of Brunswick, NY, Dawn S. Giftos of Pittsfield and Stacia G. Bissell of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Victoria Giftos, Robin Giftos, Alexander Bastow, Jacquelyn Twombly (Erik), Levi Bissell (Mary) and Dillon Bissell (Sarah); her sister Susan C. Cook of Pittsfield; and her brother-in-law William Spaniol of Stephentown, NY.. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the United Church of Christ in Pittsfield or the Dalton Council on Aging.
