He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Ellis and Margaret Young Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his son David R. Ellis (Susan); his granddaughters, Katharine Tapley (Eric) of Exeter, NH and Theresa Ellis of Quakertown, PA; his great grandchildren, Samuel and Arwen Tapley; and his nieces, Marge Grabowski and Nancy Santarsiero.
