With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Craig Alan Controy of Dalton, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 2, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Craig had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Craig may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allan Thomas and Exia Bell Bryant Controy; his sister Kimberly (Richard Rusk); his former wife Lisa Controy; and his niece Katelyn Marie Rusk (Grady Ball) of Albuquerque.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home (890 Main St, Dalton, MA 01226). Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruel to Animals for his love of animals or to Western Massachusetts Food bank for those in need.
