She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Welch (Morey) and Harry Welch; her husband Albert H. Hitchins, Jr.; and her siblings, Richard Welch, Theresa Dorr, Hannah Welch, Thelma Bunker, Maybelle Rival and Colleen Pappalardo.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kevin Schroeder (Laura), Christina Hitchins, Katherine Hitchins and William Hitchins; her pet Chantal Hitchins; and her goddaughter Margaret Shields (Dorr). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
