He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Patrick and Clara; his aunt Sarah; his cousins, Christopher Fielding and Pamela Fielding Goar; his children, Pason, Samantha of Carlisle, Pamela Fielding Goar and Dudley Goar; his grandchildren, James and May of Concord; his daughter Kimberly O'Connell Jim O'Connell; and his grandson Owen of Portland, Maine..

He was fondly known as "Uncle Richard", and never missed a family birthday or holiday party until social distancing restrictions prevented him from doing so.
