He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marjorie Hollingsworth and John Hollingsworth; his wife Kathy; his children, Elizabeth Hollingsworth (Nicholas Deak) and John Hollingsworth (Richard Rivero); and his sister Carol (Merrill Thim).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rich's memory to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (theaftd.org).
