He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Messina and Anna Messina; and his sisters, Mary Johnston, Anne Tee and Nancy Steele.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Messina (Barre); and his children, Peter Messina (Donna), Cynthia Allred (Tom), James Messina (Barbara) and Paul Messina (Angela). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Dee Funeral Home (27 Bedford St, Concord, MA 01742). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (12 Monument Square, Concord, MA 01742).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phil's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://act.alz.org) or Appalachian Mountain Club.
