He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Logan Smoot of Newton Highlands. He is survived by: his children, Franklin Wende Smoot of Portola Valley, CA, Stephanie Elsbeth Smoot of Acton, MA and Peter Logan Smoot of San Jose, CA; his sister Marilyn Scambos of Keaau, HI; his granddaughters, Jeanelle Marie Smoot, Nicole Katherine Smoot and Veronica Ursula Smoot; and his wife Ursula E. Wende.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (107 Concord Rd, Wayland, MA 01778).
