He was predeceased by: his father William Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Fischer of Belleville, IL.; his children, Tucker Nielsen (Megumi) of Concord, MA and Kara Nielsen Gordon (Michael) of Portland, ME; and his grandchildren, Liam, Kai, Tyler Nielsen, Lane and Tessa Gordon.
