He was predeceased by: his wife Susan; his siblings, Mary Bryan, Sr., Jane Dawley, Frank, Joseph, Walter and Robert Dawley; and his parents, James Dawley and Mary Dawley (Colbert).
He is survived by: his sister Ruth Dawley; his nieces, Elizabeth (John Hanson) of Boston and Ellen (George Hoyem) of Hillsborough, CA; his son John (Abby Dawley) of Villanova, PA.; and his grandchildren, Abigail Titus (Madden), Julia Hanson, Lindsey, Caroline, Zachary Hoyem, Olivia and Christian Dawley.
