He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara M.; his sons, John Francis and Dennis; his daughter-in-law Debbie Coughlin; his parents, Catherine Coughlin and Francis Coughlin; and his siblings, Mildred Chabre, Beatrice Howe, Henrietta Kobbs, Marie Lewando, Eleanor McCabe, Francis, Joseph, William and John Coughlin.

He is survived by: his daughter Marian Fitzgerald (Tom) of Scituate. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
