He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Delaney Jr. and Norma O'Shea Delaney of Scituate, MA.. He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Delaney (Peter Jackson) of Falmouth, ME.; and his sisters, Ann Szymanski (Jack) of Scituate, MA, Katherine Lauziere of Raynham, MA, Betsy Delaney (Greg Tardif) of Hamden, CT and Norma Delaney (Patrick Pilkington) of Sudbury, MA. He is also survived by four nieces and two nephews.
