He was predeceased by: his wife Miriam J. Powers (Reardon); his children-in-law, Linda A. Powers and Sean J. Grimes; his brother Dr. John J. Powers; and his parents, William E. Powers and Florence Powers (Devaney).
He is survived by: his children, Edward M. Powers, Jr. of Clinton, Kevin W. Powers (John Wolfarth) of Boston, Michael J. Powers (Chieko) of Mapleville, RI and Michele Powers Grimes of Sterling; his grandchildren, Jennifer Powers (Jason Brodrick), Keri Powers, Stacy Powers, Sean Grimes, Shannon Grimes, Ryan Powers (Caitlyn), Danielle Powers and Colin Powers; his great grandchildren, Austin and Zoe Brodrick; and his brother William E. Powers, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
