He was predeceased by: his siblings, Domingo, Victor, Rosa, Maria, Petra and Agustin; and his parents, Domingo Mercado and Librada Gonzalez.
He is survived by: his siblings, Felicita Toro of Worcester, Julia Arguinzoni of Puerto Rico, Artemio Mercado of Puerto Rico and Rafael Mercado of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
