He was loved and cherished by many people including: his fiancée Margaret A. McAuliffe; his friends, Michael McAuliffe, Eleanor McAuliffe, Daniel McAuliffe, John "Jay" McAuliffe, Kathleen Valeri and Mary Ann Oselinsky (Mahan); his brother Valerio Spinelli; and his parents, Italian and Theresa Spinelli (Morosini). He was also cherished by his six nieces and nephews.
