He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bigda and Anna Bigda (Grzybala); his brother Rudolph; his brother-in-law Roland Picher; and his son-in-law James Reagan.
He is survived by: his daughter Hope Church; his wife Lillian Bigda (Lemelin); his children, Mark Bigda (Jean) of Easthampton, Brian Bigda (Cindy) of Easthampton, Richard Lemelin (Janet) of Westfield and Joanne Reagan of Springfield; his grandchildren, William, Ian, Kierstyn, Zachary and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Elaina-Rose and Brennan; and his niece Jeanne Pasierb (Tom).
