She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanislaw Soja and Janina Soja (Niejadlik); and her sister Irena Dynak. She is survived by: her husband Stanislaw Kowal; her children, Ania Walewski, Darek Kowal (Agnieszka), Basia Dobronski (Arek), Krzysiek Kowal and Kasia Miernecki (Tomasz); her grandchildren, Jeremy Walewski, Kaley Walewski, Angelica Kowal, Olivia Dobronski and Oksana Dobronski; her sisters, Krystyna Lucek of Poland and Nela Serwicka of Poland; her goddaughter Beata; and also Isabella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
