It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley G. Pronovost of Chicopee, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 7, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald E. Pronovost; her son Scott J. Pronovost; her parents, Leo and Eva; and her siblings, Roger, Richard, Robert Morin and Carol Murray.
She is survived by: her children, David (Diane) of West Springfield, Donald (Judith) of Charlemont and Christine; her grandchildren, Matthew Pronovost (Catherine) of Hampden, Donna Rawson (Christopher) of West Springfield, Rebecca Pronovost (Donny Paquette) of Holyoke, Elizabeth Ellsworth (Trevor) of Chicopee, Jonathan Pronovost of Brockton, Mark Valcourt (Rebecca) of Westfield, Scott Valcourt (Jillian) of Wales, Samantha Bryson (Jamie) of Springfield and Allison Duffy (Kevin) of Waltham; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail, Katelyn, Megan Pronovost of Hampden, Chase Ellsworth of Chicopee, Linken Geddis of Holyoke, Viviann Valcourt of Westfield, Madelynn, Emilie Dart and Charlotte Valcourt of Wales.
Her Burial will follow the Mass at Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075, (please note that masks are required, social distancing must be observed at the funeral home, church and cemetery, attendance is limited due to state regulations).
Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to The Chalice of Salvation, P.O. Box 1730, Springfield, MA 01102-1733 or to Trinity Health of New England at Home, 200 Hillside Circle, West Springfield, MA 01089.
