He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Emile and Rita Marie Blanchette; his siblings, Jeanette Blanchette, Jean Paul (Jeannine Blanchette) and Denis P. Blanchette; his daughter Sheila Gulan; his nephew Denis Blanchette Jr.; and his great-niece Sandra Blanchette.
He is survived by: his wife Mary T. Blanchette; his brother Roger Blanchette (Debra Blanchette); his children, Connie Blanchette-Laverty (Jack Laverty), Serge Blanchette Jr. (Tonya Troutman), Barbara Gulan and Patrick Gulan (Jennifer Gulan); and his grandchildren, Timothy Gulan, John Gulan, Lindsey Blanchette, Padraig Bond, Kai Gulan, Griffin Gulan and Charlotte Gulan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews along with an aunt and many cousins.
