He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger J. Simard and Doris Simard (Deroy); and his brother-in-law Roy Kurtz. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Simard (Marchand) of Ludlow; his children, Timothy Simard (Christine) of Ludlow and Nicole Mendes (Brian) of Chicopee; his siblings, Donald Simard (Janice) of Maryland and Diane Kurtz of Ludlow; and his grandchildren, Paige, Gabriel, Alivia, Emalie, Noah and Sophie. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home (280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mary Mother of Hope Church (840 Page Blvd, Springfield, MA 01104).
