He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Nowak, Sr. and Eva Nowak (Constant); his wife Joan Nowak (Janelle); and his son Thomas Nowak. He is survived by: his children, Christine Shotwell (Carl Lucas) of Becket, Elizabeth DesRochers (Donald) of Granby, MA and Lawrence Nowak (Jennifer) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Daniel DesRochers, Heather Preece, Annabeth, Robert and Elise Nowak; and his great grandchild Chase DesRochers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
