He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Kenney and Josephine Kenney (Cebula); his siblings, Francis Kenney Jr and Florence Kenney; and his niece Patricia Roy.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Kenney (Cormier); his children, Maureen and James (Sharon) of West Springfield; his granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsay Kenney of West Springfield; his siblings-in-law, Ernest Cormier (Peg) of Agawam and Jean Kenney of Holyoke; and his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Abbate (Louis) of Longmeadow, Richard Kenney (Julie) of Springfield, Kevin Kenney (Rita) of Bernardston, Teresa Nadeau (Michael) of Springfield and Joseph Cormier (Alice) of Agawam.
