It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Lavoie (Chicopee, Massachusetts), born in Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lavoie and Marie-Marthe Lavoie; his wife Renate E. Lavoie (Hundrieser); his grandson Cory J. Quinn; his siblings, Lorraine Lavoie and Wilfred Lavoie; and his brothers-in-law, Andre Poitras and Hans Hundrieser.
He is survived by: his children, Erik Hundrieser of West Hollywood, CA, Andrea Quinn (Brian) of Springfield, Robert Lavoie (Dee) of Seal Harbor, ME, Ronald Lavoie (Matt) of Chicopee and Renate "Dolly" Riley (John) of Chesterfield; his grandchildren, Joseph Lavoie, Brianna Mangano (Kevin), Larissa Riley and Jack Riley; his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Asher, Eden and Riley; and his sister Louise Poitras of Unionville, CT. He is also survived by his nephew, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Renate's Food Pantry in c/o Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
