He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cayer and Donalda Cayer (Lareau); and his siblings, Roland Cayer, Norman Cayer, Denise Cayer, Yvette Matlock and Claire Hercenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy M. Cayer (Sawyer); his children, Steven A. Cayer (Melinda) of Granby, Lisa M. Cayer Labanino (Israel) of Kingsville and David W. Cayer of Holyoke; his grandchildren, Ryan Cayer, Justin Cayer, Adam Cayer, Nicholas Labanino, Samantha Cayer (Jonathan) and Matthew Cayer; his great grandchildren, Audrina Cayer and Dawson Roushia; and his sister Rita Petersen of West Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield Unit, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
