He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Rechenberger and Emma Rechenberger (Ulrich); his wife Ellen Rechenberger (Krygowski) of Chicopee; his son David Rechenberger (Tracey) of Southwick; his grandchildren, Daniel (Brittany), Jacob (Lily) and Kristin; and his sister Gloria Peterson of Sun City, AZ. He was also cherished by 5 nieces.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to First Lutheran Church & School in Holyoke.
