It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis G. (Magdefrau) Murphy (Chicopee, Massachusetts), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Magdefrau and Irene Magdefrau (Eddy); and her significant other Peter Meyer. She is survived by: her children, Sally K. Murphy (Michael Baldini) of Springfield, Diane S. Murphy (Virginia Campbell) of Norwich, CT and Mark Murphy of Bangkok, Thailand; her grandson Christopher Calaf of Springfield; and her great grandchildren, Kayla Calaf and Christopher Calaf, Jr.. She is also survived by her many friends and extended family.
Masks are recommended for her services. Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Saint Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
