He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Samson and Albertine Samson (Desrochers); his wife Yvette G. Samson (Perreault); his daughter-in-law Anastacia Handley Samson; his grandson Robert G. Touchette; and his siblings, George Samson, Jeannette Paul and Therese LaRoche Abert.
He is survived by: his children, Paul R. Samson (Diane) of Wilbraham, Charles E. Samson of Chicopee, Donald R. Samson of Chicopee, Elise M. Murphy of Chicopee, Louise A. Nolan (James) of Richmond, NH and Raymond J. Samson (Maria) of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Danielle Saffioti (Nicholas), Andrea Luttrell (Jeffrey), Megan Samson (Cory McKenna), Alex Samson, Marc Touchette (Rebecca), Daniel Touchette, Grace Nolan and Anton Samson; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Henry Luttrell, Lily, Layla McKenna, Robert and Benjamin Touchette; and his sister-in-law Rita Gregory of Agawam.
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Apostolate of the Suffering, Mary Farm, 1915 Ware Street, Palmer, MA 01069 or to Lorraine's Soup Kitchen and Pantry, 170 Pendexter Avenue, Chicopee, MA 01013.
