He was predeceased by: his parents, Fautino Otero and Susana Otero (Nieves); his daughter Yazmine Otero Santana; and his brothers, Angel, Luis, William and Jose Otero.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Virginia Otero (Santana) of Springfield; his children, Steven Otero Santana (Christian Chounn) of East Granby, CT and Jacqueline Otero Santana of Springfield; his siblings, Carmelo Otero of Puerto Rico, Rafael Otero of Pennsylvania, Teresa Otero of Texas, Iris Nereida Otero of Puerto Rico, Rosa Marie Otera of Maryland, Maria Anita Otero of Florida and Carmen Luz Otero of Puerto Rico; and his grandchildren, Araselie, Jandiel, Jaaliyah and Roman.
