She was predeceased by: her father Heriberto Medina; and her sister Irma. She is survived by: her siblings, Nelson Medina and Rosie of New York.

“Just received the news today of Nilda's passing. Our offices were right next to each other while at Dept of Mental Health. We became fast friends, often sharing our lunch times, & spending time with my family for Holidays in Greenfield, going to Sugar Houses or to my cabin in Maine. I became a Quantum Biofeedback Specialist in 2005, and she purchased a device as well. She attended trainings with me. I know she loved going to NYC & Puerto Rico to visit family. She'll be missed.
