Michael John Murphy III Obituary

Chicopee- Michael John Murphy, III, passed away on April 11, 2021. Son of Michael John Murphy, Jr. and the late Carol (Cummings) Murphy, Mike grew up in Chicopee, attended Chicopee High School, and worked in local restaurants as a cook. In addition to his mother, Mike was also predeceased by his grandparents, Lucienne G. and James J. Cummings. He is survived by his father, Michael J. Murphy, Jr., his sister, Michele Michaelis and her husband, Gary, of Springfield, a nephew, Corey Anderson, of Springfield, and a niece, Briana Brennan, of Holyoke. Calling hours for Mike will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, from 4 to 6p.m. at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee. All those in attendance are asked to please wear a face mask and abide by social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Michael's family to help defer funeral expenses.
