We bid farewell to Melvin P. Ogonowski of Chicopee, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 4, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Ogonowski and Helen Ogonowski (Buczynski); his significant other Patricia E. Ogonowski (Sawyer); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Cochran, Linda Sawyer and William Bothelo.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah J. Brandt (Paul Brandt Sr.) of Monson and Jessica M. Picard (Geoffrey Picard) of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Karly Dunn (Julius Santos), Paul Brandt Jr. (Abigail Parent), Olivia Dunn (Kali Spacek), Olivia Brandt, Erin Dunn and Lillian Picard; his great grandchild Brayden Parent; his sister Theresa LaBombard of Brimfield; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Walker (Donald Allen) of Springfield and Jacqueline Bothelo of Rumford, RI. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
