She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. and Mary E. Staples (Farmer); and her brother Charles Staples (Ann). She is survived by: her husband Roy Vaughn; her children, Alan R. Vaughn (Laureen Blakeslee) of Chicopee and Amy S. Moore (Daniel Webster) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Natasha Vaughn-Holdridge (Kevin), Nala Thebeau, James Vaughn (Emily), Angel Orengo, Jr. (Nicole), Daniel Moore (Noah) and Kiara Moore; her great grandchild Mila Thebeau; her siblings, Emery Staples (Laura) of Taylorville, IL and Jody Lawson (William) of California; her siblings-in-law, Ray Vaughn of Chicopee and Earlene Fisher (Merle) of Taylorville, IL; and her close friends, Wanda Praham and Sue Peloquin. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (400 Wilbraham Rd, Springfield, MA 01109). A committal service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA 01109.
