With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marion L Lortie of Chicopee, Massachusetts, born in Westfield, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 1, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Demers and Doris Demers (Hall); her husband Paul E. Lortie; her children, William L Lortie and Kathleen I. Lortie; her siblings, Doris Parent, Virginia Baillargeon, Elizabeth Zabik and Ernest Demers; her granddaughter Cherie Deschamps; and her sons-in-law, Donald Bessette and Daniel Peloquin.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Lortie of Sanford, Arlene Bessette of Chicopee, Carolyn Drost (Edward) of Chicopee and Joanne Peloquin of Chicopee; and her sister Janet Woods of Chicopee. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home (61 Grape St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
